Delete your account

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Deleting your Idus account removes the account itself and everything it owns: your projects and their tasks, your notes, your goals, the messages and files you posted in your own projects, your profile and your profile picture. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it for you afterwards.

Projects that somebody else owns and shared with you are not yours to delete, so they stay with their owner; you simply stop being a member of them. Anything you wrote in someone else's project chat stays in that conversation, the same way a message you sent stays in the other person's inbox.

From inside the app

This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

Open Settings, scroll to Data, and choose "Delete my account and data". The app asks twice, then deletes everything and signs you out. If you are subscribed, cancel the subscription first (Settings, Subscription, "Cancel my subscription"), so no further payment is taken.

If you cannot open the app

Write to [email protected] from the email address the account uses, with the word delete in the subject. We will confirm that the address matches an account, delete it, and write back when it is done. Expect a reply within seven days.

We do not ask for anything else to identify you. If you write from a different address we cannot act on it, because it would let anybody delete anybody else's account.

What happens next

The account and its content are removed straight away. Residual copies that live outside the live database, meaning platform backups and storage or cache layers, are purged on a short delay and are never used to bring an account back.

Billing records that we are required to keep for tax and accounting are held by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record, not by us. Deleting your Idus account does not erase an invoice Paddle is obliged to keep, and does not by itself cancel a live subscription.

Everything else about what we store and why is in the privacy policy.
